Passenger Shows His Dissatisfaction By Throwing Foot Powder

Now here's a guy taking matters into his own hands. A 42-year-old man was arrested at Boston Logan Airport on Monday for allegedly flinging foot powder inside the aircraft cabin of his US Airways flight. Reportedly upset after a late arrival from Las Vegas, the flight's captain told Massachusetts state police the man started throwing the white powder around and shouting, "This is what your airline gets for treating me bad." Police took the man (and his 7 oz bottle of Dr. Scholl's Foot Powder) in to custody and charged him with interfering with aircraft operation, disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct on a public conveyance. I guess he showed them.

Kanye West Arrested At LAX

We love it here at PointNiner when celebs do stupid things at airports, simply for the fact it makes for easy cannon fodder. Rapper Kanye West is now doing his part for this blog by getting himself arrested at LAX airport yesterday due to an altercation with the paparazzi. West and his manager Don Crowley were taken into custody by airport police after they smashed a paparazzo’s camera on the floor of the terminal. Both were booked for investigation of felony vandalism, however prosecutors have yet to determine what charges they might face. Some witnesses were claiming it was an act as self defense as paparazzi typically stalk celebrities at LAX hoping to get that candid shot. Both were released later that day. Below is raw video from the celeb site TMZ that shows the smashing and altercation. Unfortunately, it doesn't show what led up to the incident. Either way, Kanye West, who is already known for his temper tantrums, has failed to impress anyone here at PointNiner with this escapade. What do you think?

Not everyone thrilled about TSA's new uniform

Remember that new uniform the TSA screeners are getting? Well they're being rolled out now and it seems that not everyone thinks its such a great idea. According to an article by USA Today an item of that uniform of particular contention is the new metal badge replacing the old uniform's embroidered badge. It seems as though airport police, the other toters of metal badges at airports, aren't too happy with TSA's new look. One of the reasons for the new uniforms, according to TSA spokeswoman Ellen Howe is that "Some of our officers aren't respected". Well, that's nothing a shiny metal badge can't fix, right? One big problem seen by airport police is that unsuspecting travellers will go to TSA screeners for criminal or law enforcement matters according to Duane McGray of the Airport Law Enforcement Agencies Network, an airport police association. The real sworn law enforcement officers with firearms and arrest powers are not thrilled according to McGray who says they "It's another way of saying (to airport police), you're not important." Both the TSA and the Airport Law Enforcement Agencies Network admit there will be some growing pains with these new uniforms (and badges). Sounds like a battle of the power trips coming on here.
