A Kalitta Air 747 crashed this morning on takeoff from the Bogota, Columbia airport this morning killing two individuals on the ground. Somehow all eight crewmembers and individuals on board the 747 survived the crash with varying injuries. The US based Kalitta aircraft was operating for another carrier hauling a load of flowers to Miami. This is the second fatal airline crash in two days involving US based air carriers. The other was a
USA Jet DC-9 that crashed yesterday in Mexico. This is also the second Kalitta 747 to crash on takeoff this year.
The other taking place on May 25 in Belgium.

I do know the fate. I know the cause as well, but cannot speak to it on a public board. I will share a small portion: One crew member suffered massive internal injuries, head injuries especially and had to have his spleen removed;Another crew member suffered terrible damage to his spinal chord. These men have families. As for the anonymous poster who called my bro a "doushebag", thanks a lot. What a creative post. He not only carries the supplies needed to help people during times or crisis or to support our country in its efforts abroad, he also carries back our fallen (yes the federal govt contracts that out), brings relief supplies to those who need it elsewhere in times or crisis and flies a civilian aircraft into some of the worst hotspots on the globe. And what do you do? You post hideous comments under an anonymous name...
